It looks like Deltacopy just adds a bunch of GUI stuff and OS integration to rsyncd. This is fine and dandy for some applications; but I've gotten rather accustomed to just copying the rsyncd.conf and rsyncd.secrets files, then running the service.bat file to install it as a service. This also makes it possible to integrate it nicely with full cygwin installs. Is it possible to copy a deltacopy config file into place and use it; without having to go through the GUI, clicking buttons and filling out fields on every machine? There's a really good document out there somewhere, about what Microsoft learned when they bought out Hotmail and tried to convert all the Unix mailservers to WinNT. Turns out that being able to drop a config file into place on hundreds of machines simultaneously with a script, is a very valuable thing to have. -- Carl Soderstrom Systems Administrator Real-Time Enterprises www.real-time.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list BackupPC-users@lists.sourceforge.net List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
