If I remember correctly, you can configure the archiving to create uncompressed .tar files or even .zip. Both are recognized by every state-of-the-art archiving tool for Windows (e.g. FilZip). Burning these to DVDs is another issue and cannot be automated easily because of disk changes etc. You might want to consider to just plug in an USB harddrive (I've seen 1 TB external drives for about 130 Euro recently!) and move the archives there.
