Yes, all files with duplicate content are linked to a common pooled copy 
regardless of where they were found. It doesn't matter whether or not 
they were on the same target - you'd also get the same effect from 
backing up the clients individually.  The files will all be copied over 
the first time even with rsync but the duplicates won't take additional 
storage space.
