I have several windows clients (XP, vista, Win7) and on only ONE of the machines (vista) I am seeing this when I try to connect to rsync from *outside* the machine:
2009/08/27 23:20:10 [5840] rsync: getpeername on fd3 failed: Socket operation on non-socket (108) 2009/08/27 23:20:10 [5840] rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at /home/lapo/packaging/rsync-3.0.4-1/src/rsync-3.0.4/clientname.c(168) [receiver=3.0.4] Connections from localhost are fine. So I've looked at the code for this function and it looks like it's a translation from IPv6 to IPv4, but I've disabled IPv6 and it's still happening.
