To amplify what Les just explained, this whole idea of "pool deduplication" is one of the key selling points of BackupPC, alllowing you to backup all your machines ever day -- whether as fulls or incrementals -- with only minimal additional storage requirements.
Also, to answer your other question about minimal file length for the pool, all non-zero length files (including the 'attrib' database files) are stored in the pool. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lotusphere 2011 Register now for Lotusphere 2011 and learn how to connect the dots, take your collaborative environment to the next level, and enter the era of Social Business. http://p.sf.net/sfu/lotusphere-d2d _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list BackupPC-users@lists.sourceforge.net List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
