BackupPC is enterprise ready, just because your RAID card controllers are not enterprise ready, or because your mind doesn't allow you to see past your own experience and consider that when moving to an enterprise system, there might be some new things to learn and consider.
BackupPC is just one component of a larger system, you will need all of the pieces before you will get a solution. Just some of the pieces to consider are: 1) Server hardware - multi CPU, lots of RAM, reliable, scaleable, etc 2) Disk sub-systems - Capable of producing large amounts of storage capacity, with a high level of avaiability, data reliability, and performance 3) Operating System - Capable of dealing properly with your hardware, reliable, etc 4) Staff - who understand how all the pieces fit together, how they work, how to fix them when they break in weird and interesting ways, especially during an emergency If you have any other questions that you would like answered, I'm sure somebody on this list would be willing to give up their valuable time to give you some free advice, as long as you remember your manners, and sometimes even when you forget them.
