First please send plain text mails.
Second:
What the content of your BackupPC Status page? BackupPC will stop working if
the pool file system is more then (configurable) 95% full.
What is the output of "df -h /var/lib/backuppc"
Do you find the "deleted" backups on device? Do you find
/var/lib/backuppc/pc/<deletedPC> or numeric directories in it?

For your understanding:
/var/lib/backuppc/pc/<deletedPC>/backups contains the informations shiown by
GUI
/var/lib/backuppc/pc/<deletedPC>/<n> contains the backups itself.
