I'm thinking that maybe somebody has modified the command to backup
files, and they might have added a -v or some verbose flag, which is
causing additional non-standard output to get logged, and thus confusing
the "errors only" filter. Can anyone suggest whether those lines are
normal (for the standard non-error log file)? Personally, I have no
idea, I haven't used smb as a backup method, but it looks like it would
fit...
