There is NO sanctioned forum -- this is a mailing list. There happen to be some commercial organizations (like backupcentral) that scrape the mailing list and present the content as their own forum along with ads that they use to make money off of our non-commercial content. Many of us regulars are on the list get annoyed by newbies using various commercial forums, who don't quote context, and expect there questions to be miraculously answered. This was, is, and presumably will always be a mailing list.
