Hi Les,

We actually dont know when it will go down, thats why I was wondering how to
handle it when it happens. What is the workaround for it?

If the target stops responding, backuppc is just going to go into a
very long timeout since it has no way to know what happened.   In the
case of doing a full backup with rsync or rsyncd, the results will be
saved as a 'partial' backup and use as a base for the subsequent run -
although on a local network this may not actually save any time since
the files are read for comparison.

The best approach would be to use the blackout period setting to avoid
times that the targets are likely to be paused or restarted.   Or if
the timing is irregular but you know ahead of time you can manually
start one at a time when it will be able to complete.
