How do you transfer files to/from it for business purposes? Sneakernet?

One of the more creative hacks I ever heard of was in a lab where it was not
allowed to change any of the hardware on a given computer, but it was still
desired to automate (to some extent) data transfer to it. The solution was
to get a barcode reader that interfaced as a keyboard (this was back in the
PS/2 keyboard days), and use a barcode printer to send data to the reader.
Obviously a low-data-rate solution, but apparently useful in the circumstances.
