Like this: su -s /bin/bash backuppc /usr/share/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC_dump -v myserver That will switch to the backuppc user and run the backup on the command line in verbose mode for the client "myserver". The backuppc user typically has no shell so you have to specify one on the su command line. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list [email protected] List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
