Hello

I have been running BackupPC for many years backing up my private and
small business files. It has "saved the day" on a number of occasions
but now I need some help. Here's the situation:

After a lightning strike, one disk in the server X was destroyed. At
the same time, the BackupPC server suffered hardware failures. Disks
are runnable, but contains errors. I have run ddrescue on the disk
containing the backup files and it reported 99% rescued data.  This
backup server was running BackupPC version 3.x. I did set up a new
backup server, now running version 4.1.3 with new disks, backing up a
small number of machines. Its been running fine for a couple of weeks.

Now I would like to restore the files from the version 3.x disk to the
server X using my new backup server that runs BackupPC 4.1.3. How do I
go about accessing the backup files from this disk in BackupPC?

If I remember correctly I changed the "$Conf{TopDir}" setting to place
the backup files to my separate disk in the old backup server. I also
have access to the old system disk from the old backup server if that
helps.

Any pointers greatly appreciated as this data is critical.

Kind regards
/Erik
