So this is probably too complicated but I recently had a disk go bad but I was able to copy most of the data off. I almost decided to restore from backup anyway because I know some of the files are corrupted, but my backup server had been down a few days because I was rearranging my data closet so I didn't have a SUPER recent backup.
For the most part I've only run into a couple of files that were bad but I'm sure there are more lurking around. Is it possible to do a conditional restore? Something like: Only restore files which are the same date (mtime?) and the hashes don't match. Thoughts? Thanks, Richard
