Thanks, that's all quite useful information. Interesting that the Pi 4B isn't reliable. It looked promising as a possible edge router using two gigabit NICs.

Do you install to your Pi using just a tarball, or is there some packaging as there is for RPM? (I'm sure I can adapt the extra RPM resources to work.)

I'll definitely be putting the device behind a UPS as power here is spikey, even without it being a machine shop.

The uptime is what I'm familiar with for Linux systems, although my servers usually get rebooted every couple of months when a new kernel gets released. After waiting a week or two for others to suffer any bugs they might have.
