i have an old copy of a VM (from before it was migrated to a different
server), and backuppc captured more recent changes, before a problem
occurred on the server the VM has been running on recently.

what's missing is backuppc is capturing the content of the VM, but that's
not quite enough to recreate the VM.

so what would be ideal is to run rsync out of what backuppc captured into
the old copy of the VM.

sure i can restore the entire new contents of the VM, and then run rsync to
update the the old copy of the VM.

my question is, perhaps there's something more direct that would work? but
i don't think a 'tarCreate|ssh tar' pipeline can behave quite like rsync.

and yes i'd also welcome any ideas or pointers on how to better organize
backing up KVM VMs.
