There's an important lesson here. No apologies for repeating it. A backup really isn't a backup unless you've tested it - or at least that you test on some sort of schedule that the procedure is working and that you can recover some of the data you think you've backed up. Anyone care to contribute to a poll? When did you last test that you can recover data from BackupPC? Any data at all.
