Hi,

UKUUG are holding a File-systems And Backup seminar on the 19th and 20th of
Feb 2008, with the 19th mainly covering filesystems and storage, and the 20th
covering mainly backup and recovery.

I have suggested that I do a presentation adapted from Kern's slides prepared
for FOSDEM 2007 (which I attended).

If anyone is interested, and possibly better qualified or prepared than I am,
to give a talk on Bacula at FAB then please let me know.

The FAB seminar is aimed, unlike the summer technical conference, at users and
potential users of existing production software on Unix-like systems. There
is some bias towards free-software but cross-pollination of ideas between
free-software and proprietary software users and developers is also desired.

Judging by the activity on the bacula-devel list there is plenty of life in
the project !

Cheers,

Howard Thomson
