Can I put the question another way Kern - if Graham tests with a 2.5.28
dir+sd and a 2.5.44 fd and he comes across a bug when doing his accurate
exchange backup for which the cause isn't immediately obvious, how
confident will you be that the mixing of 2.5.28 & 2.5.44 is not a
factor? Particularly if he tries things like concurrency or anything
else a bit funky?

If someone was testing my software and came up with a problem that I
couldn't easily explain or reproduce, the first question I'd ask is are
you running the latest version. That said, I'm testing with a 2.5.42 sd,
a 2.5.43 dir, and a 2.5.44 fd :)
