Hello, In this particular case, i would say that you can schedule your jobs with something like at or anacron (or even a custom script). The Bacula internal scheduler has limits, and the Director is supposed to run all the time.
To run a job, you can just do "echo run job=xxx level=yyy" | bconsole in your script. And for example, if you client is disconnected most of the time, you can ping it before running the job, etc... It gives you infinite flexibility for very special situation like that.
