What do you mean easier? Do you want to deploy bacula-fd via Active Directory? ...
The Bacula Installer should also have a few options that can be used to automate its installation:
- -------- quote -------- The installer will accept the following command line options:
* /S (case sensitive): make the installer silent (no prompts,
installs to default location which is 'c:\bacula')
* /service: forces the installer to also install the Bacula Client
service (useful in silent mode, also works in 'normal' mode though)
* /cygwin: forces the installation directory to 'c:\cygwin\bacula'
(useful in silent mode, also works in 'normal' mode though)
- ------- /quote --------Those were working in the first installer I created, it has subsequently been modified a lot so I'm not sure whether they're still inside but if you take the time to browse the CVS repository, you'll be able to find the source NSI files (for NSIS, the Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) which you can adapt to your own situation and/or analyze to see what the installer does to create your own.
Greetings,
Michel
