It would be a good idea in any case to add directives to stop spooling and/or flush the spool files. when freespace in the spool partition falls below a threshold value.
This is in addition to the current file and directory size checks.
Possibly even 2 checks - one to stop spooling or pause and one to do an emergency flush....
