A quick run down:
The jobs (clients) on my local network work fine.
When I try and run a remote job it just times out.
When I issue "status - director" in bconsole it says:
"14 Full lloydserver1.2005-06-30_10.32.34 is waiting for Client
lloydserver1-fd to connect to Storage File" until it times out.
My storage device and director are all on the same network.
I can telnet to and from all the ports going both ways and have all
firewall ports open on both networks.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If you connect from the client to the sd, what does telnet give you? Is
the FD actually running on that port?
Have you tried running the FD with debug output to see if it is doing
anything?
If you need to see my configs please let me know.
Are there any known bugs like this currently?

How's about your local firewall? Perhaps you also need port
forwarding, and your local SD's name needs to be resolvable by the
client.
Then there is the Hearbeat Interval setting...
