That may be true, but for that I need an rpm, I think. I couldn't find one for RHEL 4, only for RHEL 3. Maybe I didn't look toroughly enough. For the moment I'm using apt-get connected to Dag's repositories, which works more or less OK.

Anyway, I'm glad I was able to work out all the dependencies. I reinstalled once more in the mean time and this time I took the development tools, which made most of it unnecessary.
