Yes, this seems odd, unless you are using 1.37.38, which now opens tape drives 
read-only, then switches to read-write when necessary.  If this is a 1.36.x 
version, I don't understand this behavior.  If it is 1.37.x, then it looks 
like there is a "bug" with the second tape on a restore.

Could you confirm your Bacula version?
