Hi, First I will say "Thank You!" to all developers and testpersons of the bacula project. We use it now in production since 2 weeks. We backup 5 Solaris servers (Solaris 8 and 10) and this with nearly 500Gb of data. We use a Tandberg SDLT320 drive and a dedicated Solaris server (Sun V240) for backups.
Now back to the subject: In the documentation ( http://www.bacula.org/rel-manual/Configuring_Director.html#SECTION0001410000 000000000000) are the following Pool Types listed: Backup *Archive *Cloned *Migration *Copy *Save First I don't understand the meaning of "Save".... ? I created a new Pool for our tapes which are in the offsite location and set the type to "Save". This produced the following Fatal error as I typed reload in the console: 22-Dec 08:40 merkur-dir: Fatal error: sql_create.c:196 sql_create.c:196 insert INSERT INTO Pool (Name,NumVols,MaxVols,UseOnce,UseCatalog,AcceptAnyVolume,AutoPrune,Recycle,V olRetention,VolUseDuration,MaxVolJobs,MaxVolFiles,MaxVolBytes,PoolType,Label Type,LabelFormat) VALUES ('SaveZGKB',0,0,0,1,1,0,0,157680000,0,0,0,0,'Save',0,'*') failed: ERROR: new row for relation "pool" violates check constraint "pool_pooltype_check" Why? Is it a bug or is the documentation not correct? Roland Ribi ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
