Helo,
I am using 1.36.3 and I want to update to the 1.38 versions. My question is,
how stable is the bacula 1.38.3? Are there any known big bugs in the
application? What´s about upgrading from 1.36.3 to 1.38.3 ?

1.38.3 is stable, IMO. Currently, there is at least one bug I encounter on a daily basis, wich is bad, but it's predictable, so I could work around it. Apart from that, no more problems here since the release version.

The actual problem, by the way, is that after the SD is started and it first tries to load a tape in an autochanger that process times out, the job finishes with an error, but later jobs work normal.

Concerning the upgrade procedure, you should read the relevant ReleaseNotes and the other documentation coming with the source.
