Yikes! Double your disk space, just like that.
Putting that in perspective, I'm backing up 1TB filesystems and have 20 of
them. It gets "real expensive, real fast".
For filesystems of that size, Taking the approach of restoring a snapshot
form tape and then running rsnapshot would take at _least_ a day.
