I just want to say on the record that the documentation that ships with
each version of bacula is absolutely outstanding. Open source projects
do have a reputation for shipping loads of code but not good docs. I can
think of dozens of other large projects that would benefit from the
diligence of documentation that happens with bacula (*ahem* gnome... :).
The outstanding errata on the documents are to be expected with a page
count as large as it is. Not only is the core excellent, but the
attentiveness to improvements (i.e. - this thread) is stellar.

Bacula is a shining example of a very professionally done tool. It has
save the backside of a client more than once. Many, MANY thanks for all
the good work on the code and the documentation.

(My first install of bacula was for a small office who had no back ups
at all. The install went smooth thanks to the docs. The backup process
had managed to make 1 full round of full-backups when the hard drive of
a principle person died. I was able to restore his presentation he was
delivering the next day to a new system and the office was ecstatic!
