Hi! I had the exact same problem... In my case it was a backup over the internet and the server I was backing up was behind a combined raouter/adslmodem and it was this router that for some reason dropped the packets after a certain time (I think mine was 2 hours 10 minutes and 20 seconds). In my case it was a modem that TELIA gives to there customers and it is called SurfInBird.
