I wouldn't back my data up to such a drive/tape combination. This information comes from the drive, so it clearly doesn't like your tape regardless of what may be written on the box. I have an HP DDS4 drive (4 cassette changer) that detests (gets lots of errors) Sony tapes, but loves (never any problems even after years of use) Imation tapes. I would have thought that Sony tapes are better than Imation tapes, but my HP drive thinks and behaves differently from me, so I cater to its whims to avoid problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
