As you did not ask for advice I can only assume that your above 
statements are directed at other possible users of Bacula.

They are wrong.

Concerning the size of your company, they should have asked someone 
else, for example me :-) , to look for a backup solution. I might have 
provided them a reliable, well maintained, flexible and scalable open 
source solution solution. Your company could have paid me easily.

But rather it seems like they relied on someone who did not actually 
read the manual, tried the software and asked for advice as it is common 
with open source software. Bad luck.

Sorry if this sounds too harsh, this is not meant to be a personal 
insult. I only don't see how, given your mail, you ever put any effort 
into understanding and evaluating Bacula.
