Hello, I agree with you (though I don't get upset by these things).
You might have better success if you explain how one hijacks a mail thread. I suspect that many if not most people who do so don't know what a mail thread is and don't understand the hidden mechanism by which threading works (i.e. they think that changing the subject is sufficient). At least that was my personal experience until about 6 months ago when I turned on threading.
