Well, if I remember correctly, if Bacula has a choice between using a number 
of different drives that are all ready to go -- i.e. they are all loaded with 
appendable Volumes from the right pool, ..., it will make some (though 
probably rather feeble) effort to select different drives for different jobs 
from time to time.  I don't think this is documented, and I don't remember 
exactly what I programmed ...
