This is one for the developer's list. I think it is a great idea! A configuration editor with 'smarts' would eliminate 70% of the traffic the user list requests help on (my guesstimation of course.)
The downside is there are so many other worthy features it will take time or a champion to pull this together. Any takers in developer land to explore this?
