Hi there.

I'm trying to get a Quantum DLT-V4 device working. I wonder if someone
would mind holding my hand through some of the basics???

1. How do I know which device (i.e. /dev/???) to use?

/proc/scsi/scsi says:
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 01 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: MegaRAID Model: LD 0 RAID1 78G Rev: 713R
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi0 Channel: 01 Id: 01 Lun: 00
  Vendor: MegaRAID Model: LD 1 RAID5 476G Rev: 713R
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi3 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: QUANTUM Model: DLT-V4 Rev: 0800
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

I've tried the more obvious ones, like /dev/nst0 and /dev/sg3 and I could be
here forever trying every single one! My first test is to eject the device
through bacula - so far they all eject the DVD writer. Is that a sensible
test? What *is* a definitive test? I'd like to get as close as possible to
ensuring the device settings are correct before validating my bacula
configuration...

All help gratefully received!
