I have searched the web for some time, but haven't found any solution
to this issue:

When multiple clients are backing up at the same time, the jobs won't
finish before the first is done and all data is written to the
database. We are spooling all the jobs to disk and this seems to be
working just fine (multiple spool files, one for each client, is
written to the spool directory).

For our servers this isn't a big problem, but when for instance one
client wants to backup a lot of data over a slow connection, the
backup of our laptops won't finish in time. When the employee leaves
from work and takes the laptop with him/her, their backup jobs is
aborted due to the fact that their bacula-fd becomes unreachable.

Is this a known problem? Any help is appreciated. :)

We also have a problem with our PostgreSQL database. A full backup of
our servers results in probably 50-70 GB of data, which is spooled
quickly, but it takes about 12 hours of writing the metadata to the
database. We tried to tune PostgreSQL, but had to turn off fsync to
get the performance to a decent level. Yes, we know of the risk of
doing this, so we are backup up our database twice aday. I guess that
there should be other solutions to this problem since fsync is a wise
thing to use if you care about your data.

BTW: We're using Bacula 2.0.2 on FreeBSD with a Dell PowerVault 132T
tape changer.
