The message I get is: 3901 open device failed: ERR=dev.c:428 Unable to open device "Drive-3" (/dev/nst3): ERR=No medium found But this might depend on the drive / bacula version in use. (btw what is your version?) You might also check the output of status storage=Tape to see what the storage deaemon thinks about the drive status.
