Fil generates random (non-compressible) data so it should give very close to the tape's native capacity. Marketers love to upsell capacity and use unrealistic "typical compression ratios" to multiply their claims. That's why it's very important to find out the REAL capacity of whatever media you're buying. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
