Hi,

I have recently upgraded to 1.38.11 from 1.36.1 and noticed a few strange
changes in how my backups run. I think it is also inconsistent with what's
described in the documentation:

I have data spooling enabled and concurrent jobs set to 5 in DIR/SD configs. I
am using autochanger with single tape drive installed. Data Spooling section
of documentation states under Other Points:

"When data spooling is enabled, Bacula automatically turns on attribute
spooling."

This is not the case with 1.38.11 although it used to be with 1.36. I had to
enable attribute spooling explicitly in director config, otherwise it stopped
working. Not really a problem but I am wondering whether documentation is
indeed wrong.

"When Bacula begins despooling data spooled to disk, it takes exclusive use of
the tape."

Again, this is not the case with 1.38.11 while I am pretty sure it was before
with 1.36. Now, all 5 concurrent jobs write to a single tape simultaneously,
which is a big problem. I can fix it fiddling with priorities and schedule
times of course but is it a known bug?

I know 1.38 is old and I should upgrade to the latest version of Bacula, just
wanted to ensure everything is backed up prior to the upgrade and 1.36
started experiencing problems with large backups (see my other posts) so I've
decided to do it in steps: first go to 1.38, backup everything and verify
backups, then upgrade to 2.2.0. Version 1.38 indeed works much better except
for these issues.

Thanks,
Ivan
