If it works with wxWidgets 2.8, please test it with 2.6 and then you
can set USE_WX to "2.4+", which will use 2.8 by default (at least
2.4/2.6 is installed but not 2.8).

Then if all went fine submit a PR with the patch.

I tried it with 2.6 too, so I think the WX version can be set to "2.4+" then.
