preparing to set up a new backup system (Bacula 2.4.3) Problem seems to be with mtx recognizing the second tray.
I have a Dell PV 124T (LTO-3 with 2, 8 tape trays) # mtx -f /dev/sg4 status Storage Changer /dev/sg4:1 Drives, 8 Slots ( 0 Import/Export ) Data Transfer Element 0:Full (Storage Element 1 Loaded):VolumeTag = 000001L3 Storage Element 1:Empty Storage Element 2:Full :VolumeTag=000002L3 Storage Element 3:Full :VolumeTag=000003L3 Storage Element 4:Full :VolumeTag=000004L3 Storage Element 5:Full :VolumeTag=000011L3 Storage Element 6:Full :VolumeTag=000012L3 Storage Element 7:Full :VolumeTag=000013L3 Storage Element 8:Full :VolumeTag=000014L3 so it only shows the 8 slots in the left tray but not the 8 slots in the right tray. I expected to be able to use both trays. btape 'test' and 'autochanger' worked fine but before I start labeling tapes, I really want to clear this up. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious that someone can clarify for me.
