Bad news !
What happen if you decide to give a run as root ?
If it work, this would indicate that somewhere a important file/dir (but which)
is not properly owned by bacula user.
Otherwise I don't see much more in my crystal ball.
Perharps a FreeBsd trick (portage and/or compilation), I know that Dan Langille
on this list is one of the "expert" on this OS.
