Well, all I wanted to point out was that the error message you are
getting is caused by MySQL choking on the subquery in the statement...

I am not really familiar with the SQL Bacula uses, but yes, if you were
using MySQL 4.0 without problems, then I'd say that none of the stuff in
2.4.4 contains subqueries as you would get similar error messages
otherwise. I cannot vouch for 3.0, as other things might have been
rewritten.

I strongly suggest upgrading MySQL anyway, as 4.0 is *really* ancient...
