Thanks to all for your responses. I found the database table upgrade
scripts in the source tree under updatedb. There I found the
update_mysql_tables_10_to_11 which then allowed me to run the
update_mysql_tables under the install directory. All of the daemons
are up and running. My client machines are still running 2.2.5 which I
will be upgrading soon but the server seems to be communicating fine
with them. I tested the connections using the "status" command in
bconsole. Thanks again for all of the help! As we move to newer version of our linux operating system I'm having issues with the client so I've decided it's about time to upgrade. My plan is to upgrade to the latest stable version 5.0.2. I'm concerned about upgrading the database tables. I'm using MySql. I know there is a script to upgrade the tables in my database but the comments in the script talk about upgrading from 3.0 to 5.0. Can I just run this script or should I download a previous version of bacula, say 3.0.x, and run that database table upgrade script first?Your database has a Version table containing the current DB schema version. You need to find what version your current DB is, then obtain and run, in order, all of the single-version upgrade scripts necessary to bring it up to the current Version 12.Thanks. I don't know MySQL very well. Do you know how I would go about finding the current DB schema version?# mysql bacula mysql> select * from Version;JD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Palm PDK Hot Apps Program offers developers who use the Plug-In Development Kit to bring their C/C++ apps to Palm for a share of $1 Million in cash or HP Products.
