I'm experiencing it right now, thanks to a tachometer failure in my library. There's nothing which can be done on the bacula side. The best thing to do is shut down bacula and run a full recalibration routine on the library so it relearns the exact offsets for each slot/drive. How to do this is different for every library maker and it's likely to take quite a while, depending how many slots you have. > > mtx -f /dev/sg4 load 1 > Loading media from Storage Element 1 into drive 0...mtx: Request Sense: > Long Report=yes > mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=no > mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=70 (Current) > mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=Hardware Error > mtx: Request Sense: FileMark=no > mtx: Request Sense: EOM=no > mtx: Request Sense: ILI=no > mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Code = 44 > mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Qualifier = 00 > mtx: Request Sense: BPV=no > mtx: Request Sense: Error in CDB=no > mtx: Request Sense: SKSV=no > MOVE MEDIUM from Element Address 256 to 32 Failed > > -- The real metric of thumb drives: "Will it Survive a Tumble in the Wash?". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What You Don't Know About Data Connectivity CAN Hurt You This paper provides an overview of data connectivity, details its effect on application quality, and explores various alternative solutions. http://p.sf.net/sfu/progress-d2d _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
