It should as far I know
to be sure to initiate connection in ipv6 I mostly use that syntax
FileDaemon { # this is me
Name = [myhost]-fd
FDAddresses = {
ipv6 = { addr = :: ; port = 9102 }
}
same syntax is used for Dir and SD
