Hello Bacula Users:

We have a Bacula backup server on a Debian 9 machine with both bacula-director and bacula-fd version 7.4.4. It backs up other Debian hosts that have bacula-fd version 7.4.4 just fine. Today we bring up another Debian host that runs bacula-fd version 9.0.7 and when we try to back this new machine up, we get the error:

Fatal error: bsock.c:569 Packet size=1073741936 too big from "Client: viaduct-fd:10.155.60.19:9102. Terminating connection.

This happens to any number of files we try to backup. The only difference we can see on this new host from the others is the newer version of bacula-fd.

Is the error due to version incompatibility?

Thanks,

Alan
