Hello,

I have 900 GB data to backup. And I have two disks in my backup
system, first one 2 TB, second one 8 TB. I want to use both of them,
what is the most effective way to use these disks in Bacula?
Personally I would replace the 1st one with an 8TB and make a RAID-1
out of them. That said,
1. you can make a volume that spans both disk, then bacula will be able
to auto-label, auto-recyle, etc., or
2. use vchanger to treat the two disks as two "magazines". That comes
with a bit more manual work, but not too much.

I would add:

1. If they are fixed disks, then use method (1) above, adding both fixed disks to the same LVM volume group

2. If they are removable disks, then use (2) above. This also gives the ability to scale up or down by simply attaching or detaching removable disks, detaching disks for offline storage without affecting configuration, making redundant copies on different disks, etc.
