today I had to restore 2 files from a job with ~800GB and 785318 files in it

this is bacula-15.0.2 and bacularis-3.2.1 on debian-12.6

When I tried the restore in bacularis and chose the needed Job-ID for selection of the files, the postgresql-DB went to 100% (on one core) and the webserver timed out with 504 ...

Tried that several times, restarted services, even did some minor tuning of the db following

https://docs.baculasystems.com/BEPerformanceFineTuning/CatalogFineTuning/PostgreSQLConfiguration/index.html

Didn't help much.

I restored via bconsole as I had some pressure, that worked fine.

Anything I can check or do about this?

upgrading to bacularis-4? ;-) I saw the announcement, thanks for all the work, I will soon upgrade that server ...

I assume you want to know at least this:

it's rather small in terms of Jobs: only 36 defined

the db contains ~18GB already according to Bacularis ... that might be an issue ... I only today edited the postgresql.conf to some bigger values, maybe there's some cleanup needed also

the nginx-config should wait longer?

As far as I understand the db-queries work ... because bconsole-restore is able to search for the files in the jobs etc

thanks for any hints. Stefan
